Super easy, fun and cute!

This was my first foray into following a quilt pattern and it's written very clearly. The fabric requirements are clear and give you enough "oops" room as a novice quilter. The diagram and directions for perfect nested seams made for a really quick strip sewing. It really did only take a weekend to make the quilt top from cutting to seaming.

For me personally, I would make sure the green I picked for the hair/leaf on top was a darker/more contrasting to the background green than what I individually chose (I used patterned fabrics rather than solids recommended in the pattern, which looked nice, but my light green background and that pattern was a little too close to the hair/leaf green patterned fabric).
